Juniors is about having fun, making friends, enjoying lots of activities and trying new things! Their meetings are crammed full of challenges, games and activities. There are hundreds of activities catering for – just about every possible interest. At the same time we try to encourage them to explore other new interests. There is loads of variety and little chance of becoming bored.
The award programme is specifically designed to encourage a child to look beyond themselves. Many are interested in one type of activity - perhaps sports, or natural history. Our special programme provides for such interests and at the same time gently urges them to try
others of a different type.
This provides a balanced all round programme
which includes spiritual and social input, as well as
physical and adventure activities in 5 different
programme zones;
· Body - fit for fun
· Mind - think and do
· Spirit - God and me
· Community - me and my world
· Creativity - make and do.
Juniors will also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. As well as possibly going on a weekend camp or holiday that is often the highlight of the year.
Through the many different activities, Juniors will;
· learn about themselves
· get to know people and learn to work together
· explore their community
· personally develop.

Juniors will take part in a variety of different games throughout the evening designed to challenge, promote team work and overall have fun.
Juniors will have the opportunity to go on a residential weekend away. Previously this has been a camping based weekend at Earlswood, and more recently a fun filled activity weekend at Bockelton.
During the summer months, and subject to the weather, we meet over the park instead, for an evening packed full of different sports and games.
We participate in events and competitions such as Football, Swimming, Athletics and Chess with other Boys’ Brigade companies in the Birmingham Battalion.
Designed to promote creativity; a craft activity happens each evening, from colouring to making things. Even a little bit of cooking.
At the age of 10, a Junior can express interest in wishing to join our marching band and learn to play a musical instrument.
The Junior uniform consists of a blue Juniors jumper and a blue polo neck top, with an armband being worn on the right arm. School trousers, dark socks and black shoes are also required.
